Abstract The brand and brand equity concepts have become more and more important as these concepts could effect on consumers perception and image of a company. But service brands are particularly different from physical goods and also they rely on employees’ actions and attitudes. The aim of this paper is to improve a conceptual framework of brand equity in banking industry. This study used a sample of 761 customers from Branches of Bank Sepah in Iran and Partial Least Squares (PLS) modeling for data analysis. The findings of this research indicate that brand association and brand loyalty have a positive and significant direct effect on brand equity and other variables include organization's presented brand, external brand communications, customer experience with organization, brand image, brand awareness and perceived quality emerge have a positive indirect effect on brand equity via brand association and brand loyalty. However, the degree of influence of each variable differs. Based on the findings of the study, a framework for brand equity has been proposed to the Bank Sepah, which in turn provides a great opportunity for future study.
Abstract Today, the banks should make more effort to maintain and build a long term relationship with their customers. Because the evidence shows that satisfied customers may abandon the business and join a rival business. Hence, this study has two aims: First, it examines relationship between brand personality and customer-brand relationship and affective commitment; and then, it analysis role, intention and type of moderator of ethical attributes on relationship between them. The study population consisted of all the bank's customers are in the range of Gorgan city. They managed to collect 389 questionnaires and they were used. In order to analyze Questionnaire data and test hypotheses, were used descriptive tests, test for R2 change using hierarchical regression and structural equation modeling. The results show that the ethical attributes is moderator; and it has a significant intensity. The relationship between brand personality and customer-brand relationships, and customer-brand relationships and affective commitment are positive significant effect. The results show that moderator variable type is semi-moderator. Keywords: Affective Commitment; Customer-Brand Relationship; Brand Personality; Ethical Attributes
