در حالی که پژوهش های متعددی به بررسی نقش یادگیری محوری بر عملکرد بنگاه های کوچک و متوسط و شرکت های بزرگ پرداخته اند با این وجود ادبیات پژوهش با شواهد تجربی کمی در رابطه با برسی اثر یادگیری محوری بر نوآوری در شرکت های کوچک همراه می باشد. یافته های این پژوهش پس از بررسی 87 بنگاه کوچک خدماتی و تولیدی تهران ضمن تأیید نتایج پژوهش های گذشته، بینش جدیدی را در خصوص شناسایی تأثیر ابعاد یادگیری محوری بر نوآوری و به تبع آن بر عملکرد بنگاه های کوچک فراهم می آورد. همچنین با وجود تأیید برخی فرضیه ها، ضروری به نظر می رسد که نتایج باید در سایه محدودیت های موجود مورد توجه قرار گیرند، که البته این امر حوزه های مناسبی را جهت پژوهش های آتی فراهم خواهد آورد.
